This document explains what it means to authorize a background check as part of the Simply Clean cleaning-professional application process.
By checking the background-check consent box during your application, you authorize Simply Clean and its designated third-party background-check provider to verify your identity and conduct a background check, which may include criminal history and identity verification, in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local law.
For your security, Simply Clean's own systems only store the last 4 digits of your Social Security Number for identity-matching purposes. Full identity verification, including any full SSN or equivalent identifier required for the background check itself, is handled directly and securely by our background-check provider, not stored in our platform database.
Background-check results are used solely to evaluate your eligibility to provide services through the Simply Clean platform. A prior record does not automatically disqualify an applicant; each application is reviewed individually and in accordance with applicable law.
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights related to background-check reports, including the right to receive a copy of the report and to dispute inaccurate information with the reporting agency.
